Deferment / Postponement Policy
Deferment / Postponement Policy
This page explains how APIAC Future handles requests to defer or postpone commencement before the applicant begins the relevant intake or study cycle.
1. Scope
This policy applies to requests made before programme commencement, registration activation, or the effective start of the relevant intake.
2. Approval Basis
Deferment is not automatic. Each request is subject to intake availability, partner approval where relevant, academic and administrative feasibility, and any applicable university regulations.
3. Supporting Reasons
Requests may be considered for medical reasons, visa delays, family emergencies, regulatory issues, or other documented circumstances that materially affect the applicant’s ability to start on time.
4. Fee Treatment
Any approved deferment may involve revised fee timing, revised schedules, administrative charges, or the carry-forward of selected payments, depending on the final written approval and the applicable programme arrangements.
5. Change of Intake
An approved deferment does not guarantee identical pricing, curriculum structure, registration windows, or academic calendars in a future intake.
6. Written Confirmation
No deferment is valid unless confirmed in writing.
